Today, the college’s Baja SAE team shares its gratitude for the support it receives each year from industry, alumni and friends of the college.

The Penn College Baja SAE team hopes to end its 2025 season on a high note this week at Baja SAE Carolina (Oct. 2-5).

Pennsylvania College of Technology added to its storied history in Baja SAE competitions with a ninth-place showing out of 84 schools in the recent endurance race at Mechanicsville, Maryland. The clutch performance at Baja SAE Maryland represents the 16th time Penn College has recorded a top-10 finish in the endurance competition since 2011.

Their classes for the spring semester ended last month, but 14 Pennsylvania College of Technology students face a big test June 12-15. They will be competing against 101 other schools at Baja SAE Maryland.

The young Penn College Baja SAE team ended its successful 2024 season, finishing 14th in the endurance race at Baja SAE Michigan last weekend. Two rollovers put the Penn College car in about 40th place an hour into the four-hour competition, but the resilient team fashioned an impressive second half of the race and become one of just 16 cars to complete 48 or more laps.
